Suspect in Bera slashing nabbed at KL Hospital’s coronary unit

Cops are still on the hunt for six other suspects.

A man believed to have been involved in a slashing at an eatery in Bera, Pahang, on March 29 has been arrested at the coronary care unit of Kuala Lumpur Hospital.

Bera police chief Zulkiflee Nazir said a public tip-off led to police detaining the suspect at the hospital at about noon yesterday, Harian Metro reported.

He has since been remanded until April 9 to assist in investigations. Police are still on the hunt for six other suspects.

Zulkiflee said the victim, who suffered severe injuries, is still being treated at Hospital Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah in Temerloh.

Last Sunday night, the 35-year-old victim was slashed by four people at an eatery in Triang, Bera. The suspects fled the scene in a car.

Police had said that all four suspects had criminal records.

The case is being probed for causing hurt with a dangerous weapon.
