Ahmad Farhan told the Indera Mahkota division’s annual general meeting in Kuantan today that PKR is committed to recapturing the seat, citing the party’s victories there in 2008, 2013 and 2018.
The seat is currently held by former Bersatu Supreme Council member Saifuddin Abdullah, who won it for PKR in 2018.
Saifuddin defended the seat under the Bersatu banner in GE15 with a majority of 8,399 votes, defeating three challengers from Pakatan Harapan, Barisan Nasional and Pejuang.
Ahmad Farhan, who is also the Pahang PKR chief and political secretary to the prime minister, said the party has reached 6,666 members in Indera Mahkota and is targeting 10,000 before the party’s national congress in June.
He also warned critics, including those within PKR, against tarnishing the party’s image.
“Attacking the PKR president is like attacking all of us, and we will oppose any attempt that could divide the party,” he said.
