PETALING JAYA:
A female student believed to be suffering from hysteria was rescued by teachers and firefighters from falling off the first floor of a secondary school in Gunong, Bachok, today.

Bachok fire and rescue station chief Ahmad Ridhuan Ghazali said the situation became uncontrollable, prompting teachers to seek assistance from the firefighters already en route to a peat fire, Kosmo reported.

He said the firefighters assisted in calming down a Form 2 student from attempting to jump from the first floor of a school building.

“Firefighters and teachers took about 10 minutes to calm down the student.

“She was then handed over to teachers for further action. The girl appeared to be experiencing hysteria and was seen hallucinating,” he said.
