ALOR GAJAH:
Police have arrested a female driver and two male passengers after a 135km car chase from the Serdang rest stop in Selangor to the Sungai Petai traffic light junction here on Wednesday.

Two packets believed to contain heroin and methamphetamine were found, Alor Gajah police chief Ahmad Abu Bakar said.

The female driver, aged 43, and the two men, aged 43 and 23, were found in the car after their vehicle lost control at the Sungai Petai traffic light junction and collided with a four-wheel drive vehicle.

The chase began at about 8pm when a patrol team from Serdang police had ordered a suspicious black Honda City to stop. “However, the driver refused to cooperate and sped off in an attempt to escape before being pursued by the police to Melaka,” Ahmad said.

He said one of the men had a record of 24 criminal and drug-related offences, the other had eight criminal offences on record, and the woman had a record of two drug-related offences.

They tested positive for drugs, he said. All three suspects have been remanded for investigation.
