Dennis Lim appointed new Penang police chief

Bukit Aman also announces several district-level transfers involving officers in Johor, Kedah, Perak, and Terengganu.

PETALING JAYA:
Dennis Lim, the deputy director of forensic and strategic planning at Bukit Aman’s criminal investigation department, will take over from Azizee Ismail as the new Penang police chief.

In a statement today, Bukit Aman said Lim’s appointment to the role would take effect on June 20.

It also announced several other transfers involving senior officers at the state and district levels.

Johor Bahru Selatan police chief Raub Selamat has been appointed Terengganu internal security and public order department chief, taking over from Azrul Hisham Shaffei. Azrul will hold the position of Johor Bahru Selatan police chief.

Bandar Baharu police chief Syamsul Sinring has been appointed Kulim police chief in Kedah.

Meanwhile, Langkawi management division chief Sani Mat Ali has been appointed Bandar Baharu police chief, while Klang Selatan traffic investigation and enforcement division chief Ramzi Mahmudin has been appointed Selama police chief in Perak.

These transfers will take effect on June 22.
