
PETALING JAYA: A 20-year-old motorcyclist was killed after colliding with an excavator and becoming trapped beneath the heavy machinery in an incident in Shah Alam shortly after midnight.
The crash occurred along the route from Shah Alam towards a sugar refinery factory near Management and Science University.
Selangor fire and rescue department operations assistant director Ahmad Mukhlis Mukhtar said the department received an emergency call about the incident at 12.06am and dispatched five firefighters from the Shah Alam fire and rescue station.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene by health ministry personnel. Firefighters extricated the body and handed it over to the police for further action.
