Sultan Azlan Shah Cup set for end of year

The tournament was not held in 2020 and 2021 due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

KUALA LUMPUR:
The Sultan Azlan Shah Cup hockey tournament, which was last organised in 2019, is set to be held again this year from Nov 15-25.

The Malaysian Hockey Confederation (MHC), in a statement, said that the Sultan of Perak Sultan Nazrin Shah had consented to the tournament dates when their representatives had an audience with him at Istana Hinggap Perak today.

MHC president Subahan Kamal, his deputy Dr S Shamala as well as Perak Hockey Association president Sayuti Samat sought an audience with Sultan Nazrin to seek his consent for the hosting of the 2022 Sultan Azlan Shah Cup.

Subahan also shared MHC’s latest developments and plans for this year with Sultan Nazrin.
