PETALING JAYA: Some 120 residential areas in parts of Johor are currently affected by water cuts following an electrical outage at the Sungai Johor water treatment plant, Ranhill SAJ Sdn Bhd said.
The affected areas are located at Kota Tinggi, Austin, Tiram, Skudai, Iskandar Puteri, Tampoi, Tebrau, Kempas, Stulang, Larkin, Perling and Bukit Indah.
In a Facebook post, the water utility company said this was caused by a damaged electrical cable from an “incoming transformer” at the treatment plant this evening.
“At this time, inspections are still being done by Tenaga Nasional Bhd and it will take time.
“Those affected are advised to store enough water.
“Any inconvenience caused is deeply regretted and your patience is greatly appreciated,” it said.
