TEHRAN:
The Iranian government announced today it was banning exports of all food and agricultural products as the war with Israel and the US raged for a fourth day.

“The export of all food and agricultural products has been banned until further notice,” Tasnim news agency said, citing a government statement.

“The government has prioritised the supply of essential goods for the people,” it added.

Iran has activated contingency plans since Saturday when the US and Israel launched attacks on the Islamic republic, killing the country’s supreme leader along with senior military commanders.
