Ivy Sekinchan is located in Taman Bukit Anggerik, Cheras. This is quite a remote part of Cheras that doesn’t draw much crowd from people who do not stay within this postcode.
The good thing about these sort of places is that you get a stress-free parking situation.
While B & Best, or indeed Fatt Kee in Kota Kinabalu have quite a varied menu, the offerings at Ivy Sekinchan are a simple one-page affair.
You get to choose from several types of fish ball noodles (curry, dry or soup) grouper, dragon grouper, or giant grouper fish noodles, and fish head too.
You will do well to order a bowl of dragon garupa with kuih teow at RM22.00, for the portion of fresh fish is quite generous and rather delicious.
The soup base is quite strong tasting with cilantro, spring onions, tomato, and some fried shallots among the ingredients.
A more than competent bowl of fish noodles for sure but if there is a quibble, the shop should tone down the salt a tad.
If fish noodles isn’t your thing, fret not for the Hakka noodles here is worthy of a meal as well.
Instead of wantan they serve fish ball soup on the side, but you still get the typical shredded pork on dry noodles as with any decent Hakka noodles place.
