If you’re in the Taman Berkeley area looking for a meal, check out Heritage Kopitiam, a new eatery located a few doors down from Thye Huat kopitiam, another favourite among residents here in Klang.

Heritage Kopitiam offers a small selection of local dishes, toast, and your favourite old-school coffee shop beverages.

For a satisfying breakfast, you can’t go wrong with half-boiled eggs, kopi O, prawn mee, and mee siam. The eggs (RM2.20) were perfect, and the coffee (RM1.80) strong and black.

The noodle dishes were good as well. The prawn mee (RM6.50) had a decent broth with all the right ingredients, but the star of the show was the mee siam (RM4.00), which had a strong, sourish tom yam note. Fantastic.

Other items to check out are the nasi lemak, curry chicken, and varieties of toast.

Overall, Heritage Kopitiam is definitely worth a visit. The service was fast, though you might have to queue for a table at times; the food delicious, the ambiance on point, and the prices even cheaper than in some food courts!
