IPOH:
Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (Utar) vice-president Teh Chee Seng @ Elvis Teh Chee Seng, 51, has died after falling from his bicycle at KM4.5 Jalan Kampar-Tronoh Mines, near Kampar, last night.

Kampar district police chief Supt Ng Kong Soon said Teh was cycling in a group with four friends from the Tronoh Mines towards Kampar when the mishap occurred about 9.50pm.

“At the spot where the incident took place, he lost control of his bicycle, fell on the road and died. His cycle was not even damaged,” Ng said in a statement here today.

Ng said the stretch of road, where the incident took place, was straight with two lanes and the weather was fine at the time, but it was dark as there was no road lighting.

He said Teh’s body was sent to Kampar Hospital for a post-mortem.
