The 45-year-old driver, who tested positive for methamphetamine and Ecstasy pill, was supposed to be the first driver of an express bus bound for Kelantan.
Bukit Aman Traffic Enforcement/Operations Officer DSP Bakri Zainal Abidin said the man was detained during an operation carried out with the cooperation of the Muar police.
He said following checks, it was found that the man had six previous summonses for speeding.
“It was also found that the bus he was supposed to be driving, which belonged to a company based in Segamat, has six previous summonses for the same offence,” he added.
He said police would obtain an order to remand the bus driver to facilitate investigation.
