
He said voters were now more discerning in choosing leaders they believed would bring changes to Selangor.
“We don’t want to belittle anyone and the former menteris besar have made contributions.
“However, it won’t be three ex-menteris besar who will determine the next government of Selangor but all the voters in the state,” he told FMT at the Institut Darul Ehsan (IDE) think tank here today.
Selangor Umno chairman Noh Omar revealed recently that Muhamad Muhamad Taib, Abu Hassan Omar and Dr Mohd Khir Toyo had been roped in to help BN recapture Selangor from PH in the 14th general election (GE14).

Noh said the current PH administration under Mohamed Azmin Ali had not done any good for Selangor other than causing more politicking.
Meanwhile, IDE chairman Prof Siddiq Fadzil said the formation of the team of ex-menteris besar was not surprising but it would have no effect on garnering additional voter support.
“They have no more influence and are also burdened with issues,” he added.
