PPBM has gone to court to challenge the provisional deregistration order issued by the Registrar of Societies (RoS) yesterday.
Today, PPBM filed a judicial review application at the Kuala Lumpur High Court seeking, among other things, an order that the RoS’ declaration on the interim suspension of PPBM through a media statement is illegal.
It also wants the court to stop the RoS from taking any unlawful action that prevents the existence of PPBM as a valid political party.
According to court documents sighted by FMT, the leave application has been fixed before Kamaludin Md Said for 9am on April 16.
PPBM secretary-general Shahruddin Md Salleh, who filed an affidavit in support of the action, named RoS director-general Surayati Ibrahim as the respondent.
