PBDS Baru to open its doors to sacked PRS members

PBDS Baru Youth chief Rapelson Hamit says the decision to sack the five PRS members was unacceptable.

KUCHING: PBDS Baru is prepared to welcome the five Parti Rakyat Sarawak (PRS) members who were sacked from their party yesterday.

Deputy party president and Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Joseph Entulu Belaun, vice-president William Nyalau Badak and Supreme Council members Nyempah Sabot, Edward Kurik and Adriana Chumang Nyambung were sacked for disrupting party unity.

PBDS Baru Youth chief and election director Rapelson Hamit said PRS president James Jemut Masing’s decision to sack the five was unacceptable.

“Entulu and Nyalau should leave their comfort zone and join PBDS Baru as they are also former members of the defunct PBDS.

“We are one Dayak family. No one can be sacked or terminated for being too vocal about speaking the truth. This is the democratic right of every citizen,” he said in a statement.
