Landslide at major road as flash floods hit KL centre
Areas affected include Segambut Indah, Sungai Penchala and the Central Market area towards Brickfields.
KUALA LUMPUR: Apart from landslides and fallen trees, several areas around the capital were hit by flash floods, following a downpour this afternoon.
The Kuala Lumpur Operations Movement Centre in a statement said the areas affected by the flash floods were Kampung Segambut Indah, Kampung Sungai Penchala and the vicinity of Central Market, towards Brickfields.
It was also reported that the there was a landslide at the Kemas Training Institute in Jalan Syed Putra following a collapse of a 10-metre-long retaining wall.
Trees were reported to have fallen at Jalan Segambut, Taman Sejahtera, Taman Sri Delima, Taman Sri Segambut, Taman Niaga Waris and at a Shell station in Taman Desa here.
