SANDAKAN: Shoppers who visited the fish and wholesale sections of the Sandakan market between June 14 and June 28 have been advised to monitor their health following the detection of a positive Covid-19 case there.
Sandakan Municipal Council president Wong Foo Tin said anyone showing symptoms should immediately go to the Duchess of Kent Hospital or Sandakan health clinic for a Covid-19 test.
Health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah had said earlier a positive case at the Sandakan market was one of two local transmissions reported in the country today.
Malaysia reported three new cases during the past 24 hours, comprising two local transmissions and one imported case.
The Sandakan case, detected from workplace screening at the market, was the first reported in the district after it was declared a green zone two months ago.
