In a Facebook post, the ministry said it requires volunteers, including medical doctors, microbiological science officers, environmental health officers and assistants, nurses, assistant medical officers, lab technicians, radiographers and public health assistants.
It said the scope of duties include temperature and symptom screenings at health facilities, international entry points and quarantine stations.
Volunteers will also be required to treat hospital patients and conduct contact investigations as well as Covid-19 sample collection.
This is on the condition the volunteer is physically and mentally fit, willing to work at any given location and has not been in close contact with a Covid-19 case in the last 14 days.
The ministry said volunteers must also be registered with a professional body which regulates their practice.
