
They are the Seri Gaya cluster in Kota Kinabalu and Tuaran, Sabah; Greenhill cluster in Kuching and Miri, Sarawak; Idaman cluster in Petaling and Gombak, Selangor as well as Titiwangsa and Cheras, Kuala Lumpur; and the Bayu cluster in Johor Bahru and Muar, Johor.
The Seri Gaya cluster’s index case was an individual who tested positive yesterday. Further contact tracing detected 16 more positive cases, all of whom are currently being treated at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Kota Kinabalu.
A total of 64 people have been screened in the cluster, with 17 people testing positive and 47 negative.
The Greenhill cluster’s index case was an individual who tested positive on Sunday. Contact tracing detected 24 more positive cases, all of whom are currently being treated at the Sarawak General Hospital and Miri Hospital.
A total of 51 people have been screened in the cluster, with 25 people testing positive and 26 awaiting results.
The Idaman cluster’s index case was an individual who tested positive yesterday. Contact tracing detected 10 more positive cases, all of whom are currently being treated at the Sungai Buloh Hospital.
A total of 481 people have been screened in the cluster, with 11 people testing positive, 300 negative and 170 awaiting results.
The Bayu cluster’s index case was an individual who tested positive on Oct 23. Contact tracing detected seven more positive cases, all of whom are currently being treated at the Enche’ Besar Hajjah Khalsom Hospital in Kluang, Johor.
A total of 104 people have been screened in the cluster, with eight people testing positive, 60 negative and 36 awaiting results.
There were 62 cases related to prison clusters today, which is 7.7% of today’s total of 801.
There are currently 33 active clusters in Malaysia, with the Tembok cluster (in Perak and Kedah) and Benteng LD cluster (in Sabah) both recording the most number of new cases today with 26 each.
The Tembok cluster has 1,705 cases in total while the Benteng LD cluster has 1,122 cases. The clusters are linked to prisons in Kedah and Sabah respectively.
The Kaya cluster, which affects Negeri Sembilan, Selangor, Melaka and Putrajaya, recorded 21 new cases today after recording 152 yesterday. The cluster has a total of 295 cases.
