
Health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said they are the Sandakan prison, Dialisis and Sepanggar clusters in Sabah, Aero cluster in Selangor, Lengkuk cluster involving Selangor and Negeri Sembilan, and the Gading cluster involving Putrajaya and Negeri Sembilan.
The Sandakan prison cluster was detected in Sandakan after the index case tested positive through an inmate screening on Oct 27.
Noor Hisham said close contact screenings found 38 others who tested positive. A total of 293 people have been screened so far, with 254 awaiting test results.
The Dialisis cluster, involving Sandakan and Lahad Datu in Sabah, began when a healthcare worker tested positive during a screening on Oct 23 and infected 16 other close contacts.
A total of 49 people have been screened so far, 14 of whom tested positive for Covid-19 while 30 tested negative.
The Sepanggar cluster, located in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, was detected after the index case was found to be positive in a screening that was done after showing symptoms on Oct 24.
Through close contact screenings, seven more cases were identified. As of noon, 95 people were screened, with 86 testing positive and one awaiting test results.
Meanwhile, the Aero cluster in Petaling, Selangor involved an individual who tested positive in a close contact screening on Nov 3 and close contact screenings found 10 more Covid-19 cases.
A total of 95 individuals have been screened, 84 of whom tested negative.
The Lengkuk cluster was traced back to Sepang in Selangor as well as Seremban, Port Dickson and Rembau in Negeri Sembilan. The index case tested positive after a symptomatic screening on Oct 28.
Following close contact screenings, 23 others were found to be Covid-19 positive. Eighty-six people have been screened, with 62 testing negative.
The last of the new clusters, the Gading cluster, involved individuals in Putrajaya and Seremban. The cluster began after the index case was found positive through a close contact screening on Oct 29.
Six other infections were identified after close contact screenings. A total of 32 people have been screened so far, with eight testing negative and another 17 waiting for their results.
Noor Hisham also announced that the Embun cluster in Selangor and Bah Tanjung cluster in Terengganu have officially ended with no new cases being reported after 28 days.
No deaths were reported from both clusters.
