
Zahid said he had written a letter to Muhyiddin on the matter, adding that BN’s 43 MPs will also support any bill tabled by the government.
He added that the 43 BN MPs also wanted the prime minister to consider extending the automatic loan moratorium for another six months for those eligible in the B40 and M40 categories.
Zahid, who is also Umno president, reiterated the coalition’s call for the government to consider allowing Malaysians who are eligible to withdraw their savings from Account 1 of the Employees Provident Fund (EPF).
Yesterday, BN MPs reportedly rejected Pakatan Harapan’s offer of a confidence and supply agreement to ensure the upcoming budget is passed in the Dewan Rakyat.
The annual budget will be tabled this Friday.
