In a statement today, Dang Wangi police chief Mohamad Zainal Abdullah said that those involved in the case would be called to the Dang Wangi police headquarters to give their statements.
Tajuddin was at the LRT station yesterday morning after a collision between two LRT trains the night before, which left 213 injured.
He was photographed wearing a face mask when he visited the scene of the incident earlier.
Zainal said an investigation was under way after a video of the press conference went viral on social media.
“Dang Wangi police are conducting an investigation under Section 21A of the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases Act 1988 and Rule 17 (1) of the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases (Measures Within Infected Local Areas) Regulations 2021.
“The investigation papers will be handed to the Attorney-General’s Chambers once the investigation is complete,” he said.
He reminded the public to always comply with the SOPs set by the National Security Council.
