“As of now, there are 68,341 flood victims from 18,080 families throughout the country.”
He said that seven states had been hit by the floods, with Pahang the worst affected.
Acryl Sani also said police had not received the autopsy reports detailing the cause of deaths of the victims.
He said 1,081 police personnel had been affected by the floods.
A total of 66,015 security personnel had been assigned to assist in search and rescue (SAR) efforts.
A total of 1,600 boats had also been deployed nationwide for the SAR operations and to deliver food supplies to areas cut off by the floods, he said.
He further added that seven police reports were received regarding break-ins at business premises in Selangor.
He advised anyone who has run out of food supplies to seek help at flood relief centres.
