
The case index for this Karak Setia cluster was a local woman who was found positive on Dec 19. She exhibited symptoms such as fever, cough, flu, and loss of sense of taste since Dec 18, the health ministry said.
Health staff have tested 104 people in this cluster so far; 10 positive cases and 94 negative cases were detected.
The cluster was created by interactions among flood victims at the shelter.
The health ministry also recorded 99 cases of infectious diseases that were identified among flood victims: 51 cases of acute respiratory infection, 39 cases of skin disease, and nine cases of acute gastroenteritis.
