
According to the ministry’s GitHub database, there were 27,500 new cases, comprising 27,072 local cases and 428 imported cases.
Of the 115 deaths, 36 were classified as brought-in-dead (BID) cases. The death toll now stands at 32,942.
Johor recorded the most deaths with 25. This was followed by Sabah (24), Selangor (18), Kedah (8), Negeri Sembilan (8), Perak (7), Kuala Lumpur (6), Pahang (6), Kelantan (4), Penang (3), Melaka (2), Perlis (2), Sarawak (1) and Terengganu (1).
There were no deaths in Putrajaya and Labuan.
As of midnight, there were 321,036 active cases, with 8,182 people hospitalised. Of this, 360 were in intensive care units (ICU), 194 of whom require respiratory assistance.
The total number of Covid-19 cases recorded in Malaysia stands at 3,496,090.
