PETALING JAYA:
DAP veteran Lim Kit Siang has tested positive for Covid-19, his political secretary, Syahredzan Johan, confirmed today.

“I can confirm that Lim has tested positive for Covid-19. Earlier today in Parliament, he did an RTK test.

“Since it showed a positive result, a PCR test was conducted. Later, it was confirmed that he is Covid-19 positive,” he said in a statement.

Syahredzan said Lim has been vaccinated and has also taken his booster shot, adding that he has only been showing light symptoms such as coughing.

He also said Lim is under quarantine.

“On behalf of Lim, apologies for any inconvenience caused,” he said.

Yesterday, Lim attended DAP’s national congress announcing that he was quitting politics for good.

The congress was supposed to be held last June but was postponed due to Covid-19 restrictions.
