Warisan veep coy on cooperation with PSB, formation of Borneo Alliance

Junz Wong says right-minded Borneons would have no problem working together for the Borneo agenda, except with those 'under the payroll of masters in Kuala Lumpur'.

Parti Sarawak Bersatu president Wong Soon Koh was reported to have said that PSB and Warisan have agreed to cooperate and form a Borneo Alliance.
KOTA KINABALU:
A Warisan leader has played down talk that his party and Parti Sarawak Bersatu (PSB) have agreed in principle to work together and form a Borneo Alliance.

Warisan vice-president Junz Wong declined to confirm or deny that his party was in talks with PSB, as claimed by its president, Wong Soon Koh.

“I believe that any right-minded Borneons, be it Sabahans or Sarawakians, would have no problem working together for the Borneo agenda, except those under the payroll of masters in Kuala Lumpur,” the Tanjung Aru assemblyman told FMT.

Soon Koh was quoted as saying in a Borneo Post Online report yesterday that PSB and Warisan had agreed to cooperate to establish the Borneo Alliance.

The PSB president said, however, that no target date had been fixed to formalise the pact.

He pointed out that both parties were still in discussions and that they were open to accepting local-based parties in Sarawak to join the alliance.

It was previously reported that PSB had mooted the idea of all opposition parties in Sabah and Sarawak working together under the Borneo Alliance for the coming 15th general election.
