PUTRAJAYA:
Former prime minister Najib Razak says he has been denied justice by the Federal Court in his final SRC International appeal hearing.

Speaking to his supporters outside the Palace of Justice, Najib said all his appeals, from adducing new evidence to seeking an adjournment for his trial, had been rejected by the apex court.

“I have tried my best. What is important is that our struggle must continue. I did not lose, I just did not get justice,” he said.

Some of his supporters, who had gathered at the apex court since morning, could be seen crying as he spoke.

Najib is appealing to quash his conviction for abuse of power, money laundering and criminal breach of trust involving RM42 million in SRC International funds.

His conviction was upheld by the Court of Appeal on Dec 8 last year, as was his 12-year jail sentence and RM210 million fine.
