PETALING JAYA: Pakatan Harapan will finalise its seat allocations and election manifesto for the 15th general election (GE15) at a convention that will take place in the middle of October.
In a statement, the opposition coalition also said it would kickstart a series of roadshows, featuring its top leaders, from next month.
PH also claimed it had seen an increase in support from people of all races over the past two months, citing findings of several studies. However, it did not elaborate on the details of these studies.
This was announced after national and state PH leaders convened in Seremban, Negeri Sembilan, to discuss the coalition’s strategies in facing GE15.
Yesterday, DAP organising secretary Steven Sim said seat negotiations within the coalition had been completed in four to five states, while discussions for the remaining states were expected to be wrapped up by this weekend.
The coalition expressed concern about the meteorological department’s forecast of rainy weather till the end of the year, and urged the PH-led Penang, Selangor and Negeri Sembilan state governments to declare a “climate emergency” as a proactive measure in facing possible floods.
PH maintained that calling a general election during the flood season would be irresponsible.
