
The foreign ministry said they arrived at klia2 just before midnight yesterday.
In a statement, it said 123 of 153 victims of such syndicates had been rescued.
“The ministry would like to express its gratitude and appreciation to the Cambodian government for the cooperation given in locating and rescuing the victims,” it said.
“The ministry will continue to work closely with Cambodian authorities, through the Malaysian embassy in Phnom Penh, to locate and rescue the (remaining) victims to enable them to return home safely.”
It said individuals or relatives of Malaysians involved in fraudulent job offers abroad may contact the ministry’s Consular Assistance Unit for Malaysians Abroad by emailing [email protected].
