Man charged with throwing cats out of 15th floor unit

PETALING JAYA:
A property manager pleaded not guilty in the magistrates’ court here to committing mischief by killing three cats after throwing them out of a 15th floor unit of an apartment building.

Chan Kam Kin, 44, was charged with committing the offence at an apartment at Jalan PJS 8/9 here at 7.30pm on Oct 17.

If convicted, he faces a jail term of up to three years or a fine, or both.

Magistrate Zhafran Rahim Hamzah allowed him bail of RM4,000 in one surety and set Jan 25 for mention.

Deputy public prosecutor Aqharie Durranie Aziz prosecuted while lawyer Kailash Sharma represented Chan.
