PETALING JAYA:
Parti Bangsa Malaysia insists the results of today’s election have “not broken (its) spirit” despite only managing to win one of the five federal seats it contested in its first-ever general election bid.

In a statement, the party said it accepted the election results with an “open heart” and expressed its appreciation for its supporters.

“We will continue our efforts to bring about change and progress in further improving the living standards of multiracial Malaysians.

“We would like to say a million thank you to all the members of PBM, our friends in the media and to any party who directly or indirectly helped us face GE15.”

PBM president Larry Sng was the party’s only victorious candidate, retaining his seat in Julau, Sarawak.

Other bids in Ampang, Hulu Selangor, Kapar and Labuan were unsuccessful, as were candidates fielded in the Tronoh (Perak) and Bugaya (Sabah) state seats.
