
At a press conference, Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim also announced that Bukit Gelugor MP Ramkarpal Singh will serve as deputy law and institutional reforms minister, while Iskandar Puteri MP Liew Chin Tong will be deputy international trade and industry minister.
Others appointed include:
Hang Tuah Jaya MP Adam Adli (PKR) as deputy youth and sports minister; Alor Gajah MP Adly Zahari (Amanah) as deputy defence minister; Kulai MP Teo Nie Ching (DAP) as deputy communications and digital minister; and Pensiangan MP Arthur Joseph Kurup (BN-PBRS) as deputy science, technology and innovation minister.
All the newly-appointed deputy ministers will be sworn in before the Yang di-Pertuan Agong at 3pm at Istana Negara tomorrow. Several deputy ministers who are not MPs must first be appointed as senators before they can take office.
