PETALING JAYA: Police have denied that a TikTok account of one “datukayub8” belongs to Ayob Khan Mydin Pitchay, who was yesterday named as Bukit Aman’s criminal investigation department (CID) director.
In a brief statement, the police said that Ayob Khan’s identity and photos were used to attract followers, Bernama reported.
“The public is advised not to be deceived by the account and to always refer to official sources to obtain accurate and authentic information.”
Yesterday, it was reported that Ayob Khan’s appointment as CID director would take effect on April 16.
He is currently Bukit Aman’s narcotics criminal investigation department director.
