PETALING JAYA: Selangor has declared a state holiday on Friday for civil servants under the state administration, in conjunction with Hari Raya Aidiladha falling on the day before.
State secretary Haris Kasim said this additional holiday was especially for civil servants serving in state departments and agencies, as well as local councils.
“However, statutory bodies, state-owned companies and the private sector are not subject to this. It is up to the respective employers (to follow suit),” he said in a statement.
“The state government wishes a happy Hari Raya Aidiladha to civil servants and the people of Selangor.”
