Shukri said he would leave it to the MACC to conduct its investigation, Utusan Malaysia reported.
“I leave it to their discretion,” he was reported as saying at the Perlis state assembly complex.
Earlier, Berita Harian reported that MACC had detained six people, including the son of a menteri besar, to assist in a probe into the alleged falsification of documents in several infrastructure development project claims worth RM600,000 dating back to 2022.
It quoted a source as saying that a senior officer in the menteri besar’s office was also detained.
The claims are believed to have been made for works that were never implemented, according to the source.
