Man nabbed on suspicion of biting wife

Police said the 32-year-old man was arrested this afternoon at a convenience store.

Police arrested a 32-year-old man in Kuala Pilah on suspicion of assaulting and injuring his wife on Tuesday morning.

District police chief Mustafah Hussin said the man was nabbed this afternoon at a convenience store, Harian Metro reported.

“The man came home drunk at 3.20am and hit his wife and bit her on the shoulder, hands and forehead,” he was quoted as saying. The suspect tested negative for drugs.

Mustafah said the woman sought treatment for her injuries at Tunku Ampuan Najihah Hospital.

The case is being investigated for voluntarily causing hurt and for domestic violence.
