
In a Berita Harian report, Fadhlina said the use of the touchscreen-based technology can enhance the quality of teaching and learning in line with advancements in digital technology and artificial intelligence (AI).
“Congratulations to Penang. This is very meaningful for the quality of education, especially in the face of digital and AI advancements that we must embrace, particularly in improving our national education standard,” she said.
“I am certain that this will enhance teachers’ abilities to improve our children’s education,” she said during a smartboard sponsorship ceremony at SMK Bayan Lepas in George Town.
She added that the education ministry aims to equip all schools across the country with the interactive whiteboards by 2027.
Fadhlina also noted that teachers have provided positive feedback on the use of smartboards.
She said teachers have reported that smartboards stimulate participation in class and make learning more enjoyable — which ultimately keeps students more focussed during classes and improves their understanding of the subjects they are taught.
