PETALING JAYA:
Police have remanded a Myanmar national for seven days on suspicion of murdering his former wife, also a Myanmar national, outside a condominium block in Setapak, Kuala Lumpur, yesterday afternoon.

Kuala Lumpur police chief Fadil Marsus said police were alerted by the public, who discovered the unconscious woman at the Genting Court Condomium, believed to have been stabbed by a man.

He said the suspect was arrested at the location, and the motive was suspected to be jealousy.

“Police also seized a weapon believed to have been used in the incident,” he added in a statement.

An autopsy at Kuala Lumpur Hospital determined the cause of death to be a stab wound to the chest.

A video of the incident has gone viral, showing members of the public attempting to resuscitate the victim.
