KLIA police chief M Ravi said the woman reportedly passed through an autogate checkpoint without a valid flight ticket at around 1.35pm yesterday.
Security personnel attempted to inspect her, but she allegedly acted aggressively, prompting KLIA auxiliary police to arrest her.
Ravi said initial investigations found that the woman entered Malaysia on April 30 for a holiday with friends.
However, she allegedly did not have sufficient funds to purchase a return ticket to her home country.
She was brought to the Sepang magistrates’ court today, where she was remanded for further investigation under Section 7 of the Restricted Areas and Protected Places Act 1959.
The offence carries a jail term of up to two years, a fine of up to RM1,000, or both upon conviction.
