PETALING JAYA:
Police arrested two foreigners after a high-speed chase ended with their car crashing along Jalan Johor near Pavilion Damansara Heights at 2.15am today.

The chase began after police tried to stop a Honda City heading to the capital along the Federal Highway, said Petaling Jaya police chief Shamsudin Mamat.

The car sped away with police in hot pursuit along the Sprint Highway, where the car skidded and crashed into a signboard at a u-turn headed towards Kuala Lumpur.

“Police arrested the male driver and a woman passenger, both foreigners in their 20s, while another suspect managed to escape on foot,” he said. The car was found to be registered under the name of a local man and has not been reported missing.
