PETALING JAYA:
Several areas in Putrajaya were affected by flash floods following heavy rain this afternoon but no major incidents were reported.

Putrajaya fire and rescue department operations assistant director Haziq Hazmi said the fire stations in Precincts 7 and 14 deployed teams to monitor and patrol several key locations after reports were received.

“Following reports of rising water levels around Alamanda Mall, immediate monitoring was carried out to ensure the situation remained under control and did not involve any casualties.

“Checks were also conducted on drainage systems and water levels in flood-prone areas. Continuous monitoring is being carried out through CCTVs in cooperation with the Putrajaya Command Centre,” Utusan Malaysia reported him as saying.
