PETALING JAYA:
A man died after being found unconscious during a police raid on an alleged drug-fuelled gay party at a Kuala Lumpur hotel early yesterday morning, where police arrested 51 people.

Bukit Aman narcotics crime investigation department (NCID) director Hussein Omar Khan said the man was found unconscious at the hotel lobby in the 2.35am raid.

“The man was taken to Kuala Lumpur Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival,” he said in a statement today.

Hussein said the raid, conducted jointly with Kuala Lumpur and Brickfields police, also resulted in the seizure of drugs worth RM103,070, including 1.15kg of liquid MDMA, 284g of powdered MDMA, 8.56g of ecstasy and 11.61g of ketamine.

He said the organisers typically chose upscale hotels for parties involving drug abuse and immoral behaviour.

Thirty-six of those arrested tested positive for drug use.

All those arrested have been remanded for three to six days to assist in the investigation, he said.
