PETALING JAYA: A Malaysian man has been charged in Singapore with the murder of a 21-year-old woman in a lift.
Faiz Umar, 22, is accused of killing Chua Bee Ting in Lift A at Block 248 Choa Chu Kang Avenue 2, between 8.53pm and 9.22pm on Tuesday.
According to the CNA news portal, Faiz was charged by a field magistrate at National University Hospital today.
The charge sheet, however, did not specify how the victim was murdered.
If convicted of murder, Faiz could be sentenced to death.
