Perak fire and rescue department director Sayani Saidon said communications with personnel deployed in the search area remained disrupted due to weak or no signal, Utusan Malaysia reported.
She said additional personnel were being mobilised to prepare for a more coordinated operation.
According to Sayani, footage from a wildlife camera at Bukit Berapit 2 was checked at about 12.30pm today but did not show any sign of the missing woman.
She said search and rescue personnel and wildlife department officers went to another camera location at Gunung Rayu to retrieve a memory card for inspection.
“The camera at Gunung Rayu is located about 1km away from the Sukaneka-Gunung Rayu-Bukit Berapit-Pos Musoh trail.
“We are checking whether the victim may have strayed from the main trail and passed through the area covered by the camera,” she said.
She added that the camera is located in the Hulu Jelai area of Lipis, Pahang and operations involving firefighters and mountain guides are continuing around Gunung Rayu.
Jaslinda was last seen on May 24 after starting on the Trans Spencer Chapman trek at 2am on May 23, along with 13 other hikers and two mountain guides via the Pos Gedung-Gunung Bah Gading-Gunung Batu Putih-Kuala Woh route.
