<p>Bachelor of Communications student Vicneswary Subramaniam, 23, lost her father to a heart attack last year.</p>
<p>Then in August this year, she lost her job because of the Covid-19 pandemic and got evicted from the family home in November.</p>
<p>She now lives in fear of having to abandon her degree at Open University Malaysia (OUM) Bangi because she has no way of settling the outstanding RM1,018.18 she owes them.</p>
<p>Today, she and her mother sell cut fruit at Taman Suntex, Cheras as a means to earn an income.</p>
