Men’s pair Aaron Chia and Soh Wooi Yik made a winning start at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games today.

The world No 9 pair were pushed to the limit in the first set before rallying to defeat South Korean duo Seo Seung-jae-Choi Sol-gyu 24-22, 21-15 in 44 minutes at the Musashino Forest Sport Plaza.

Aaron and Wooi Yik will return on Monday to play their next Group D match against Indonesian world No 2 Mohammad Ahsan-Hendra Setiawan.

The other pair in their group are Canadians Jason Ho-Shue-Nyl Yakura.

The top two pairs will move on to the knockout stage.
