Cookie, the wonderful flat-faced Persian and Siamese mix, is a well-rounded girl.
At just six months old, this precious kitten has already shown signs of peak intelligence, cheeky behaviour and a loving personality that Aisyah can’t seem to get enough of.
For such a pretty face, you would imagine Cookie to be an absolute spoiled brat who demands all kinds of toys and all types of treats in the world, but surprisingly, Cookie is one loyal cat.
She sticks to one — and only one toy — despite the fact that Aisyah keeps buying her all the latest and fanciest offerings at the pet store (to date, Cookie has more than 10 toys).
Cookie’s top choice seems to be simple, yet sophisticated as according to Aisyah, it is “the stick with the feather and bell”.
The second Aisyah whips it out, Cookie will go crazy and start chasing after it.
“She’ll run around and even starts panting like a dog!” laughs Aisyah, who adds, “It’s actually a good workout to encourage her to drink more water after.”
As for treats, Cookie keeps it simple too.
“Despite having the best brands of cat food one could possibly get her, the Ciao cat treat will make her meow the entire night,” relates Aisyah.
What a down-to-earth princess this Cookie seems, except when she has run out of patience and resorts to stepping on Aisyah’s face until she gets her Ciao treat.
Though mostly calm and well-mannered, Cookie is easily startled, which is why Aisyah is always very wary of cleaning up with a vacuum or having noisy friends around.
“If I have visitors around, I make sure they enter my room stealthily, or they’ll freak Cookie out! But if they were to enter her territory quietly and peacefully, Cookie will lick their fingers,” gushes Aisyah.
Cookie is quite the obedient sweet little feline too, as she listens to both Aisyah and her boyfriend whenever they call out to her.
As Cookie has a habit of bugging Aisyah right before bedtime, all it takes is for Aisyah’s boyfriend to say her name in a slightly strict manner via video call, and Cookie will immediately get off Aisyah.
“This is very helpful as Cookie is usually most active when I’m about to fall asleep!”
Once Cookie gets off Aisyah though, this little princess will immediately get herself comfortable next to Aisyah’s head, on a pillow, and drift into slumber herself.
“She usually falls asleep in front of my face, to be exact, and her paws must be touching any part of me at all times,” says a smiling Aisyah.
Aisyah says she is willing to do anything for Cookie. Well, almost anything.
“I fostered another cat for a week and Cookie was absolutely not happy with it. That was the most fierce she had ever been! I was very intimidated!”
Perhaps that is Cookie’s way of making up for her simple tastes and undemanding nature: that Aisyah gives her and only her all her love!
