This comes following reports that several religious teachers and mosque officials, among others, had refused to be vaccinated.
The department said an official order will be issued to every individual involved.
Recently, the Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah reminded Jais officers that they risk losing their jobs if they refuse the Covid-19 vaccine.
“I would like to remind these stubborn teachers that they face the risk of not being allowed to continue their duties.
“Similarly with mosque officials and jurunikah who turned down the vaccine, they too face the same action,” the sultan said in a statement.
In a statement today, Jais director Mohd Shahzihan Ahmad said some religious school teachers, mosque officials and those in charge of solemnising Muslim marriages have refused to get vaccinated.
He said Jais, together with the Selangor health department, will organise a special state vaccination programme for the officers involved.
“An official instruction will be issued to each individual involved to be vaccinated. If they are not present, appropriate action will be taken according to the established rules,” he said.
